Spelthorne Sports Awards 2019

Tuesday 19 November, 7.30pm, Shepperton Studios

The Spelthorne Sports Awards 2019 organised by Spelthorne Council and Spelthorne Sports Council, will be held in November to celebrate the achievements of those who have excelled at sport; be it as a coach, team player or an individual this year.

Spelthorne took nominations in the following award categories, and the winners are:

  • Active Surrey Coach, Leader or Instructor of the Year - Nick Harman
  • Sports Club of the Year - Odyssey Boxing Club
  • Young Sports Personality of the Year - Aaron Evans
  • Sports Personality of the Year - Caroline Rutherford
  • Sports Team of the Year -
  • Young Sports Team of the Year - Buckland Primary School Lacrosse Team
  • Inclusive Sports Award -
  • Outstanding Service to Sport - Steven Savage
  • Specsavers Volunteer of the Year - Bob Parry
  • Young Volunteer of the Year
  • School of The Year - Laleham C of E
  • Gerry Ceaser Special Recognition Award - Mary & Len Claremont

Those who were successfully short-listed for the local awards were invited to attend the awards show at Shepperton Studios which took place on Friday 19 November 2019, 7:30pm.

Winners from the Spelthorne awards will go forward to Active Surrey’s county-level roadshow, where judges will decide who deserves the honour of being named the best in Surrey.

Those county-level winners will be celebrated locally in their community during January & February 2020.
