Farnham Sports Awards 2019

Farnham Sports Council (FSC), is an independent, voluntary body who represent the sporting interests of the people of Farnham and the surrounding districts. The FSC acts to promote sport in the community at all levels, to safeguard existing facilities and to identify sporting needs in the area. The FSC also provides a forum where clubs and individuals can present their views on sporting matters to local authorities and other interested organisations.

Farnham took nominations in the following award categories, and the winners are:

  • Under 14's Sports Personality of the Year
  • Young Sports Personality of the Year - Lottie Woad
  • Sports Personality of the Year - Danny Wilkinson
  • Junior Team of the Year
  • Senior Team of the Year
  • Inclusive Sports Award - Jason Bastable
  • Active Surrey Coach, Leader or Instructor of the Year - Tim Ayres Townsend
  • Sports Club of the Year
  • Specsavers Outstanding Service to Sport - Dave Porter
  • Volunteer of the Year - Clair Bailey
  • Young Volunteer of the Year - Alice Roberts

Those who were successfully short-listed for the local awards were invited to attend the awards show at Farnham Rugby Club which took place on Monday 25 November at 7:30pm.

Winners from the Farnham Sports Awards will go forward to Active Surrey’s county-level roadshow, where judges will decide who deserves the honour of being named the best in Surrey.

Those county-level winners will be celebrated locally in their community during January & February 2020.
